EECMY  Women’s Ministry envisions equal worth for women and men in serving in their call of God

 Mission

To proclaim Christ through words and deeds

in order to make salvation known to mankind in general and women in particular

 Goal

To see women empowered, educated and equipped by the word of God for wholistic service in church and society

Office

The EECMY Women´s Ministry Office is serving women on all levels of the church. The Board of Women’s Ministry guides at church level, women secretaries at synod, parish and district level and through women´s work committees at congregation level.

 Some resolutions as basis for the EECMY Women´s work

1993  that EECMY General Assemblies shall have voting delegates with women making up 25- 50 % so that they will have a vote on policy matters

 1997  it was resolved that women who have received a call from God and from congregational members and who are qualified for the work be ordained and serve as pastors

 1998  the Ex. Committee of the church resolved to ask the Scholarship Committee to give 1/3 of the chance for women to be included on the list of scholarship candidates to study abroad for the further service of the Church.
