Graduation at Arba Minch Mekane Yesus
Technical College (AMMYTC)
The AMMYTC
was established in the year 1972, as one of the first technical schools
in southern regions, giving training in wood, metal work and later in
general and auto mechanics. It has altogether produced 823 graduates for
the country. In 2005, after going through a restructuring process
including a feasibility study conducted by Ato Berhanu Berhe from
EECMY-DASSC, the school is upgraded to a college level specialising in
Information Technology and Auto Mechanics.

at the AMMYTC
The first colourful graduation
after the restructuring has taken place on the 15th of
February 2008. The Guest of honour and zonal administrator, Ato Dosa Mada,
has awarded Diplomas and Certificates to the 45 graduates of the
College. All graduates have found gainful
employments, either in the private business sector or in self-help
employment.
One of the new components in the College is the production
unit, which has led it to a self supporting institution. It has already
won Meonco as a partner for its automotive service, improving the
technology and its service to the customers immensely.
